Tommy Kim bids adieu in 18th, busted by Soyza

Level: 18 Blinds: 6,000/12,000 Ante: 12,000

Folded to the CO, short-stacked Kim Dong Hyun (better known as Tommy Kim) went for it all by shoving but because of the size of his stack (less than 10 BBs), Christopher Michael Soyza made the Duty Call from the BB.

Kim showed 4 4 while Soyza had two over cards in K 8 .

The board was instantly ominous for Kim as it went: Q J 6 and then Turn sealed the deal with 2. To add insult to demise, a K was the River card.

Kim is out at 18th for PhP214,300.00.

Baja, a one-time overall chip-leader yesterday, finishes in 19th place.

Level: 18 Blinds: 6,000/12,000 Ante: 12,000

After a raise, re-raise, all-in, call sequence against Kunal Patni (IND),  Lgatuz then saw he was up against A A and almost doubled-up with the board going: J 9 7 8 needing to River a 10 for a Straight.

But instead the 9 came out and sent Lagatuz packing in 21st place.

Baja doubles up through Teoh

Level: 18 Blinds: 6,000/12,000 Ante: 12,000

Alfonso Baja got a much needed double up just after he got hit.

William Teoh (MAS) raised from the CO and Baja shoved in the SB.

Teoh showed A 10 while Baja was dominated with A 8

However, the Flop showed Q 9 4 ; a glimmer of hope for Baja. The turn made his dreams come true as the 2 for the Nut Flush. The River was 4 .
