Despite building a good stack all day, decorated APT Main Event champion John Tech met the rail well before the money. The hand that did it was against Victor Chen. Chen was all in with 8 8, Tech with A A, the board was unkind to the champ as it ran Q J 6 8 5. Chen soars to 303k.


Ron Tate doubles up; Seo Dongkyoon plummets

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 2400

Ron Tate shoved his remaining 68k, Seo Dongkyoon called with slightly more. Tate Q Q, Dongkyoon A Q. The board bricked for a double up to Tate to 145k. Dongkyoon down to 20k.


Benjamin Gonzva cripples Cao Ngoc Anh

Level: 14 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 2000

On a board 5 9 7 4 and a pot of 32k formed, Benjamin Gonzva bet 14.5k, Cao Ngoc Anh shoved 80.7k, Gonzva called with 79.5k to put himself at risk.

Four players stared in preflop to create a 38k pot. On the flop J 5 8, everyone checked to the button Aiko Kawano, he bet 45k. Sb Shingo Cho check-raised all in for around 102k, next two players check-folded, Akio snap-called.

Sung JIn Han denies a split with diamonds

Preflop all in, one player with A Q and Sung Jin Han with A Q. This usually ends in a split pot however not the case here with the board coming down 8 6 K K 8. Sung won the pot with the nut flush to boot out a player. Sung now at 247k.

Staring down a 51k pot and a full board 5 K 3 7 6, Solomon Lee Yew shoved his 28.6k stack, Christopher Mateo called with more chips. Solomon 7 3 two pair but Mateo had better K 5. Mateo up to 155k.
