Having just eliminated David Erquiaga, Chen Yazhou was in action again. He raised to 18k, button Christopher Mateo three-bet to 38k, Yazhou four-bet to 112k, Mateo called. The flop 2♥ 7♣ 5♥, yazhou bet 85k, Mateo called. On the 4♦ turn, Yazhou slowed down and checked, Mateo used it to bet 100k, Yazhou folded.
Mateo rose to 610k, Yazhou down to 590k.
David Erquiaga shoved his 170k stack, Chen Yazhou called. Erquiaga A♣ K♣, Yazhou 10♥ 10♠, the board bricked to send Erquiaga packing. Yazhou up to 800k.
Ori Mendi J♥ J♣, Joshua Chargualaf K♣ 10♥, the board fell K♠ 4♠ 6♣ 9♣ Q♥ for a higher pair spiked by Chargualaf to double up to 160k. Mendi dropped to 145k.
Two heated hands went down between Vincent Chauve and Ivan Tabucal. The first on saw utg Byungwook Ahn raise to 20k, four called to see the flop landed 9♥ 4♠ 6♣, Ahn c-bet 35k, Tabucal raised to 90k, Chauve called, bb Lester Edoc folded, Ahn tank-folded. On the turn 8♦, Tabucal checked, Chauve jammed 103k, Tabucal tanked then folded. Chauve rose to around 375k.
Next bout, utg Chauve raised to 18k and found three callers to the flop 9♦ A♣ 4♥. bb Ori Mendi checked, Chauve c-bet 25k, co Edoc and sb Tabucal called while bb Mendi folded. On the turn 7♥, Tabucal checked, Chauve fired 85k, called only by Tabucal. The river 8♦, Tabucal led for 130k, Chauve tanked then folded. Tabucal immediately showed his 3♠ 5♣ bluff and shipped in the big pot. Tabucal rose to 650k, Chauve down to 280k.
Busts
First bust out of Day 3 was Xu Shuang. With his remaining 16k, he shoved with A♣ Q♦ and doubled up through Christos Vlahos 10♥ 10♣ when an ace showed up on the river, however the very next hand, he shoved again holding 10♣ 5♣ and this time he was railed by Wang Jiabin with K♠ 10♦ on a board 7♣ 6♦ 8♦ J♣ K♥.
Next to follow to the exit was decorated APT Main Event champion Alexis Lim. He three-bet shoved his 86k stack and Siyoung Lee called. Lim A♣ 6♣, Lee J♠ 9♠, a nine showed up on the turn.
Suditu Madalin all in with A♥ 4♥ but Victor Lam had him dominated with A♣ J♥. The board ran empty for Madalin to send him out.
Double ups
Mark Vanderburg shoved twice. The first one found no callers but on the second one Lin Wen Hong called. Vandeburg 9♦ 9♠, Hong A♥ 3♥, the board ran A♠ Q♦ 4♠ 6♠ J♠ for a winning flush. Vanderburg up to 280k.
Xu Qiang raised to 20k, Soo Jo Kim jammed for 112k, Qiang called putting the champion at risk. Kim A♥ 8♦, Qiang 4♠ 4♣, the board ran 9♦ 8♥ 7♦ 5♥ 10♦ to save Kim from bumping the rail. Kim up to 240k, Qiang down to 230k.
