Two-time APT Championships Event winner Iori Yogo is making a strong bid for a third title. He started the day on the lower end of the chip rung and is now clearly one of the leaders with over 1M to play with. His recent win was knocking out short stacked Takahiro Abe who pushed with 10 4. Yogo had 7 7 that further improved to quads. Yogo at 1.15M.


Bubble bursts! Tang Tian eliminated

That’s it! Everyone is in the money! All except Tang Tian…. he had it all out front with 9 9 and faced Joshua Chargualaf with A K. The board came Q 7 5 A 7 for a higher pair to Chatrgualaf to send Tang out as the bubble.


Bubble round: Joshua Chargualaf doubles up

All in preflop here on the bubble round. Christopher Mateo put the heat on short stacked Joshua Chargualaf. Mateo A J, Chargualaf A Q, the board ran dry for both for a double up to Chargualaf to 460k. Mateo dropped to 1M.


Ken Foo Hsien Loong rises to 1.6M exposes Siyoung Lee’s bluff

Raised pot preflop the cards felted 8 K 9, checked by Siyoung Lee and Ken Foo Hsien Loong. On the 3 turn, Lee checked, Loong bet 38k, Lee raised to 135k, Loong called. On the 7 river, Lee led for 165k, Loong called. Lee J 4 bluff, Loong Q Q. Lee down to 530k, Loong rose to 1.6M.

We are on the bubble round with 33 remaining. Iori Yogo raised to 30k, Chen Yazhou and Victor Lam called. On the flop K 9 10, no bets. On the 9 turn, check check to Yazhou, he bet 45k, Lam folded, Yogo called. On the river Q Yogo checked, Yazhou bet 111k, Yogo called. Yazhou showed 5 6 which meant he played the board with his bluff bet. Yogo had J 10 straight to claim it and climb to 710k. Yazhou dropped to 400k.


Yoo Gyeong Tae eliminated; it’s bubble time!

Yoo Gyeong Tae lost two hands to send him out in 34th place. That means, with 33 remaining, we are on the bubble round. The first loss for Tae was against Christopher Mateo. Mateo opened to 26k, Tae called from the big blind. At the flop 3 3 5, Tae checked, Mateo bet 17k, Tae called. On the turn 10, Tae led for 30k, Mateo raised to 65k, Tae folded. Mateo leads the pack with 1.2M.

Down to 130k, Tae went all in with 4 4 and ran into Yuta Murakami’s J J. The board ran 2 5 J Q 3. Murakami at 830k.

Ori Mendi opened to 32k, button Chen Yazhou called. The flop 6 10 K saw no bets for a turn 8. Mendi led for 55k, Yazhou called. On the river A, Mendi checked, Yazhou bet 90k, Mendi folded. Yazhou up to 420k, Mendi dropped to 830k.


Ace high for Yuta Murakami; Tabucal falls to 230k

Catching the action on the turn 10 5 3 2, Yuta Murakami bet 90k, Ivan Tabucal called. On the river 5, Murakami jammed 120k, Tabucal had that well covered but tanked first. He eventually called. Murakami showed A Q ace high, Tabucal showed A 9 ace high lower kicker. Murakami closes in on a million.

Eugene Co doubled up earlier through Soo Jo Kim however this time, it was not to be. Instead he found the rail. Action began with Inaki Santos raising to 26k, button Co all in for 216k, bb Kim called, Santos folded.
