Li Rongshan doubles through Gyeong Byeong Lee

Short stacked Li Rongshan was the next to shove at his table and unlike Hiroshi Matsumoto’s fate, Rongshan doubled up to around 500k. His pocket kings held against Lee’s K-Q. Lee dropped to 300k.


Tobias Peters out in 17th place – P266,000

Tobias Peters could not recover from being the massive chip leader to the runt of the pack. He shoved his 280k stack, got called by the blinds Kong Seung Su and Siyoung Lee. On the flop 10 K 8, checked by both. On the turn Q, Kong led for 300k, Lee folded to deny a side pot.

Hiroshi Matsumoto falls in 18th place – P266,000

Hiroshi Matsumoto was down to his last 250k and put it all in against the chip ledaer Inaki Santos. A double up wasn’t meant to be. He busted in 18th place while Santos rose to over 2.5M.

Tobias Peters got his remaining chips in the middle with A 6, Chen Yazhou made the call with A 5. When the board ran 10 K[10c} 6 8, Peters doubled up to around 280k.

Tobias Peters seems to be the ATM machine lately. He doubled up another player, this time it was Byungwook Ahn. Action began with Peters raising to 50k, Ahn and Soo Jo Kim called. On the flop 6 7 Q, Kim checked, Peters three-bet 83k, Ahn and Kim called. On the turn 8, Kim checked, Peters banged out 270k, Ahn shoved, only Peters called.

The river 8 was a safe card for Ahn to ship a double up to 1.7. Peters plummeted to 135k.


Siyoung Lee in three

Siyoung Lee got involved in three pots to send his stack to 1.1M while railing Tao Gang in the process. The first hand was against Joshua Chargualaf. We caught the action on the turn 3 7 3 7 and 70k brewed. Lee bet 45k, Chargualaf raised to 135k, Lee called. On the river 2, Chargualaf checked, Lee fired 180k, Chargualaf called. Lee showed 6 7 trips, Chargualaf mucked. Chargualaf down to 970k, Lee up to 1.050M.

Next hand, short stacked Hiroshi Matsumoto survived against Lee with Q 6 improving to two pair to overtake Lee’s A 8 pair on a board 8 5 7 Q 6.

On the third hand, Tao Gang was all in on a board Q 4 2 10 and 110k in the middle. Lee called and had K J draw. Gang opened 10 7 pair. The river K gave Lee a higher pair to eliminated Gang. Lee up to 1.1M.
