Clearly the most watched player today is the WPT multi-champion Marvin Rettenmaier. The German pro has been steadily climbing all day and just shipped in a monster pot against Baey Kianguan.
The hand saw a raise by Kianguan to 14k from utg, called by Rettenmaier down the orbit. At the flop 2♣ 7♣ 7♥, Kianguan c-bet 29k, called by Rettenmaier. Action was the same on the 5♦ turn with a 45k bet called. On the 4♣ river, Kianguan continued the aggression and slid out 145k. This tanked Rettenmaier but he eventually made the call.
Kianguan reluctantly turned over K♦ Q♦ bluff and lost the pot to Rettenmaier’s A♦ K♥.
Rettenmaier up to 780k, Kianguan down to 136k. Shortly after, Kianguan fell in 25th place.
