The board had completed to 8♦ 10♥ J♣ J♦ 3♥. Lester Edoc bet 40k and got the call from Kenta Hino. Edoc opened Q♦ 9♦ straight and won the pot.
Three-way raised pot, flop ran 5♠ 6♥ 8♥, no bets by the players. On the 9♦ turn, Joonwon Lee bet 12.5k, called by Jessie Leonarez, while Eric Tsai folded. On the 2♥ turn, Lee fired out 17k, Leonarez raised to 72k, and won it with a quick fold from Lee.
Several hands later, Leonarez was up against Michael Kim Falcon. The flop showed 10♥ J♣ 3♦, bb Falcon bet 7500 and Leonarez called. On the 3♠ turn, Falcon fired 15k, and Leonarez stuck with him. On the 2♣ river, Falcon sent another 27k out, Leonarez shoved, Falcon folded.
Two short stacks were all in, APT champion Feng Zhao 9♣ 9♠ and Rodger Gaor K♦ J♥. The board threw blanks to double up Zhao to 40k while Gaor dropped to 4k.
Andrew Doyle had 9-9, Liu Zhiqiang with A-Q, the board ran dry until the river with a queen turning up to eliminate Doyle. Liu climbs to 380k.
Multi-WPT champion Marvin Rettenmaier and Ting Yi Tsai went back and forth with a three-bet, four-bet, five-bet…. all in! A crowd had gathered to watch the showdown but then both players opened K-K. No flush threat landed and it was split pot.
Whoa! Big pot for defending champion Lester Edoc. Already sporting a stack of around 245k, Edoc faced off against Elivannen for the nth time. These two players have been going at it all day but pots weren’t that costly until this hand.
Martin Corpuz raised to 4500, Lester Edoc called, sb Elivannen three-bet to 11k, and only Edoc called. At the flop and turn, 10♠ 2♣ J♦ 3♥, no bets were fired. On the river 6♣, Elivannen bet 15k, Edoc shoved, Elivannen tanked.
After a few minutes, Elivannen put his tournament life at risk and called. Edoc opened 4♦ 5♣ for a straight. Elivannen mucked and left the scene. According to one of the players, Elivannen had A-A.
Edoc now at 370K.
Carvey Horng raised to 4200, raised to 11.7k by Alexis Lim, called by Horng. At the flop Q♥ 10♦ 5♥, Lim bet 7.8k, called by Horng. On the 10♣ turn, it switched up. Lim checked, Horng bet 11.4k, Lim called.Then on the 4♠ river, both players slowed to a check and Lim won with A♣ Q♣.
On a crazy board J♠ Q♥ 10♥ K♠ K♣, Georg Schreinen was all in on the river with A-Q straight but Craig Landry had better with J♥ J♣ full house.
