Luke Pangan continuation bets win a small pot

Level: 2 Blinds: 50/100 Ante:

From mid position, Luke Pangan raised it double to 200 and was called by three players to all see a flop of 3 8 9. As action moved around the table back to Pangan, he bet 400, and was called by the cutoff seat. When the turn landed A, Pangan continued and sent out 1250. At this point his opponent decided to fold.


Heavy hitting Bordallo wins pot

Level: 1 Blinds: 25/50 Ante:

Sitting at center, Annie Bordallo limped in then called a raise to 700 by the small blind. At the flop of J 6 3, small blind sent out a continuation bet of 2000, Bordallo raised it up to 5000, and the sb tank-called. At the turn of 3, sb reversed play and checked to Bordallo who bet 8000. Her opponent took some time but then folded. Bordallo takes the pot.


Samad Razavi vs Alan Escano

Level: 1 Blinds: 25/50 Ante:

On a raised pot preflop and a board showing 3 K 10, Alan Escano bet from the cutoff seat 500 and was check-called by Samad Razavi on the small blind. At the turn of 8, both players quietly checked for a free river card of 7. Acting first, Razavi laid out 1125 and Escano called. Escano mucked when he saw Razavi’s K J top pair.


Shimabukuro triples up!

Level: 1 Blinds: 25/50 Ante:

Super short-stacked Shoji Shimabukuro found himself an ideal spot to raise his dwindling arsenal. During the hand he shoved with 1225 and found himself two callers willing to gamble. At the flop of 8 A 6, both his callers checked, as well as with the turn of 5 and river of 6. Shimabukuro showed his 5 5 for a set and a triple up.


Gavin Smith rockin’ it with a full boat

Re-entry player Gavin Smith was in a pot with two players with 600 already in the middle. With the flop showing 4 8 5, Smith checked, a mid position player bet 450, got a fold from the next player as Smith called. At the turn of 4, both players checked. Then on the river of K, Smith made a move and led out for 1150 only to get raised to 3300. After thinking, Smith re-raised and made it 8150 total. His opponent called and quickly mucked when he saw Smith’s K 4 full house.


Annie Bordallo chips up

Re-entry player Annie Bordallo wins a pot of around 5000 with her A 10 landing two pairs on a board showing 10 6 9 A 2.


Jun Funabashi rails one early

Some sizeable pots being won at such an early stage. In a recent hand, we saw a board of 2 2 J 4 J with Jun Funabashi acting first and checking. The cutoff player then moved all in for 9000 chips, and Funabashi tank-called. The cutoff player immediately mucked and left the scene as Funabashi was awarded all the chips in the middle.


Kim Ji Woon takes a good pot without a show

Catching the action on a full board, 9 7 2 8 10, Kim Ji Woon on the small blind led out for 3500, got raised to 7000 by his opponent, and after a bit of thought, Woon called. His opponent mucked and Woon won the pot.


Franklin Acfalle catches a few sailboats

Franklin Acfalle has just taken down a nice starting pot here at the felt. He kicked it off by raising to 175, got called by the player beside him, but then re-raised to 800 by another player. As action folded around and swung back to Acfalle, he and the next player made the call.

Flop: 10 J 7

Everyone checked.

Turn 4

Acfalle led out for 700 and was called by the player beside him while the other folded. Then

River: 9

Acafalle bet 1200, and again he was called.

Acfalle won the pot with 4 4 set of sailboats over his opponent’s Q Q overpair.
