See you tomorrow for the final table! Starts at 130pm.
From the hijack seat, Bryan Huang got all his chips in the middle and massive stacked Feng Zhao followed suit by announcing he was all in as well. Huang had K♦ Q♣ and Zhao had 10♥ 10♠. The window card was just what Zhao needed to be sure for the win as the board ran A♣ K♠ 10♣ 5♠ 4♠. Huang leaves in 9th place and collects $12,600.
From the small blind, Feng Zhao tried to steal the big blind of Mike Fawaz betting 52,000. The Lebanese denied him that chance with a call.
Flop 5♥ K♦ J♠ and turn A♠ were both checked while Zhao bet 55,000 on the river 9♥. Fawaz made the call but mucked his hand when shown jack-deuce.
Mikal Blomlie and Feng Zhao are the two biggest stacks at the table and to see them battle for a pot is quite nerve wracking. Action began with Blomlie raising to 33000 and finding two callers, Zhao and Huy Pham. At the flop of 4♠ 9♠ 6♣, Pham checked to the raiser Blomlie who sent out 47000. Zhao called and Pham folded. At the turn of 2♠ both players checked, but when the river revealed a J♦, Blomlie laid out 101000 and Zhao silently folded.
Another split at the table keeping it alive with nine players. Action began with Bryan Huang raising it up to35000 and finding two callers in Mike Fawaz and Choi Hyeong Wook. At the flop of 8♦ 7♥ Q♥, Hyeong Wook checked, Huang bet 63000, Fawaz announced all in sending Hyeong Wook deep into the tank. He eventually folded and Huang called. At the showdown, Huang had A♥ Q♥ and Fawaz was the same with A♦ Q♠. With the turn of K♦ and river of 6♠, they settled for a split.
Mikal Blomlie opened to 33,000 but saw a raise from Feng Zhao for 79,000. Blomlie mean business an re-raised all in for 330,000.
Zhao, who is currently the chip leader by a mile, wouldn’t indulge to give Blomlie the nice pot. The Norwegian’s stack is upped to 373,000.
From early position, we’ve seen the standard raises (33,000 to 36,000) from Bryan Huang, Huy Pham and Mike Fawaz.
Just a steal or legit raises? We’ll never know.
Choi Hyeong Wook got a lucky break and avoided elimination against Bryan Huang. During the hand, Huang raised to 33000, Hyeong Wook responded with an all in for an additional 127000, and Huang snap-called. Seeing Huang’s A♥ Q♠ ahead of his A♦ 10♥, Hyeong Wook was looking like the last railbird of the day but when the board ran K♠ 8♥ 9♠ J♦ 7♠, he landed a sweet straight to avoid elimination.
Huy Pham was hoping to double up when he three-bet all in against Feng Zhao however at the showdown, his A♥ Q♦ and Zhao’s A♠ Q♠ ended up splitting the pot with the board running 5♣ 5♥ 5♠ 8♥ A♣.
