With a hefty pot already weighing down the middle of the felt, Henrik Tollefsen moved all in on a board of 10♦ 2♠ 6♠ and was snap-called by Zi Yang Zhao. Tollefsen was hurting when he saw Zhao’s Q♥ Q♠ over pair against his A♥ 10♠ top pair. The turn of K♥ and river of 5♠ were no help to Tollefsen who’s stack slipped down to around 39K.
On a raised pot preflop, Jia Jie Liang and Roger Hardy saw a flop of Q♣ 8♣ 10♦. Liang checked to Hardy who bet 25000 out of his short stack only to get raised all in by Liang. After tanking, Hardy folded and Liang showed his K♣ 10♣.
Huy Pham got all his chips in and was called by the player beside him Mike Fawaz who had him well dominated. At the showdown, Pham had 8♦ 8♠ and Fawaz with A♥ Q♦. With the flop landing 6♣ Q♣ 9♠, Fawaz took the lead with top pair, with the turn of 7♥, Fawaz still ahead but Pham now with a gutshot which he got on the river when a 5♦ arrived. Pham avoided elimination and doubled up to 115K.
With bubble time on hand, it’s quite expected that the players are more conservative with their play now.
From UTG, SJ Kim opened to 11,000 and got a caller from Annie Bordallo from the big blind.
Flop K♥ 2♦ J♦ and turn 2♥ was checked by both while Bordallo bet 14,000 on the river 2♥
Kim folded.
Canadian Andre Bouchard opened the betting to 11,000 and saw a caller from the small blind in Annie Bordallo.
Both Bouchard and Bordallo checked the flop 10♦ 9♥ K♠ as well as the turn K♥.
On the river 2♣, Bordallo led out with 17,000. Bouchard snap-called.
The Bordallo’s raise was done for a good reason: she had the ducks. Bouchard could only slump in his chair after showing pocket queens.
Udaysinh Patil didn’t show any hesitation in moving all-in when he had the big slick. Unfortunately for him, the guy at the small blind, Mike Fawaz had the ladies and snap-called.
Flop 9♣ 10♥ 2♦, turn 5♥ and river J♦ and we have another player out of the main event.
We are now at the bubble with 28 players left. We are hand for hand.
After Jim Bonanno lost to Jia Jie Liang, he was moved to another table and shortly after had all his chips in the middle while holding 9♦ 9♣ against Udaysinh Patil A♣ Q♠. With the board running A♠ 2♦ A♦ 4♦ 10♣, Bonanno crippled down to just 1000 and was eliminated by Huy Pham.
