Hung Sheng Lin has earned the first big pot of the Final 8 shaving off some towers off the leader Evgeny Kurilenko. The hand began with a raise to 55k by Lin from mid position, Sai Ho Philip Chiu called from the cutoff, button Kurilenko three-bet to 175k, and both Lin and Chiu called.
On the flop 7♥ Q♦ 8♣ they all checked. On the 3♦ turn, Lin fired out 210k and got one caller in Kurilenko. The river 6♠ was checked by both and Lin won the big pot with his 9♦ 9♥ as Kurilenko mucked.
