Utg Kashima Shinji raised to 6k and both Shinji Sugeta and Soichiro Kojiya called. The flop ran A 9 2. Kojiya checked, Kashima bet 12k, Sugeta folded, and back to Kojiya with a call. On the J turn, Kojiya checked, Kashima sent out 28k, and this time won it with Kojiya folding.


Big stacks at table 3

The biggest stacks in the field seem to be concentrated in table 3. They’ve all butt heads several times. Here’s a couple of those hands between Tomoharu Furuya vs Shinji Sugeta and Soichiro Kojiya.

Utg Furuya raised to 5500 and bb Sugeta called. On the flop 5 Q 7, both checked. On the turn A, Sugeta bet 4500, Furuya raised to 9500, and Sugeta folded.

The next hand saw Soichiro raise to 5500 and bb Furuya defended his big blind. At the flop A 10 3, Furuya bet 5k and took it down with no call from Kojiya. Furuya showed his 3-3 set. Furuya currently leads with 380k.


Three-way sends Fujitani out and Naoki Morita to 185k

Three-way all in with Mark Wong Tze Yii A K, Naoki Morita 9 9, and Masaki Fujitani A 8. The board ran J 10 4 8 10 sending out Fujitani while Morita shipped it to climb to 185k.


Kashima Shinji shaves some off Soichiro Kojiya

After winning two consecutive small pots, Soichiro Kojiya raised to 4500 and Kashima Shinji three-bet to 14k. Kojiya called. At the flop J 3 2, Kojiya checked, Shinji c-bet 9k, and Kojiya called. On the 3 turn, Kojiya checked, Shinji fired out 37k, and this time Kojiya folded to award Shinji the pot.


Tsuyosh Nitta bets on every street

On a raised pot preflop and a flop showing 7 8 3, big blind Tsuyosh Nitta bet 8k and button player Satoshi Okuda called. On the A turn, action was the same with another 8k bet called by Okuda. On the Q river, Nitta made it 18k to call and this time Okuda begged off to send the splashy pot to Nitta.

Kyung Min Lee raised to 5400, Chen Song called from the cutoff, Aleksei Sei (PLO Hi winner) three-bet to 15k, and was called by both Lee and Song. At the flop 4 2 3, Sei bet 25k and won the pot with no callers.


Manami Hayamizu boots one out

Manami Hayamizu continues to beef up her stack. She just eliminated Akihiro Shimizu with J J over A 8 on a board that ran dry. Hayamizu now at 190k.


Yukiko Ogasawara loses a pot to Soichiro Kojiya

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 1600

Yukiko Ogasawara dropped down quite a bit in chips after losing a pot to Soichiro Kojiya. The hand saw both players stare down a flop Q 7 10 with a raised pot brewed preflop. Ogasawara check-called Kojiya’s 5k bet. On the 8 turn, both checked. On the 6 river, Ogasawara check-called Kojiya’s 15k bet and mucked when she saw Kojiya’s Q 8 two pair. Ogasawara is down to 36k.


Shinji Sugeta on a rush, climbs to 280k

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 1600

Shinji Sugeta shipped in three sizable pots all nearly in one after the other to climb to 280k. He is now one of the chip leaders.

#1: With around 19k brewed preflop, the board showed Q A 4. Big blind Sugeta checked, cutoff Rui Kojima bet 9k, Sugeta raised to 19k, and Kojima called. On the 10 turn, both players checked. Then on the 4 river, Sugeta fired out 21k which was enough to win the pot with Kojima opting to fold.

#2: Fokin Valeriy raised to 4k and Sugeta called from the button. At the flop 2 4 7, Valeriy bet 4200 and was called. On the J turn, Valeriy continued and led for 6200, Sugeta raised to 13k, and Valeriy called. On the A river, Valeriy checked, Sugeta bet a small 6.5k, and Valeriy called. Sugeta opened A 4 two pair and Valeriy folded.

##3: Another raised pot preflop, this time Sugeta was on the small blind up against Pak Valeriy. The flop came down K 8 6. Valeriy checked, Sugeta bet 7k, and Valeriy called. On the Q turn, Valeriy moved all in with his remaining sort stack and a snap-call by Sugeta.

The river K improved Sugeta to a full house to overtake Valeriy and send him packing.
