Tamon Nakamura has taken over the chip lead after banking big pots. The first one kicked off with Nakamura raising to 50k, called by button Hideki Izutsu and big blind Naoki Morita. At flop 4♦ 10♥ 4♥, Nakamura bet 90k, Izutsu called, and Morita check-called. On the 8♦ turn, Morita checked, Nakamura sent out two yellow towers worth 200k, and Morita called. On the 6♣ river, both players checked. Morita J♠ 10♣ top pair but Nakamura had A♣ 10♠ pair higher kicker.
On the subsequent hand, Nakamura raised to 50k, Jaepil You called from the cutoff, and Tae Hoon Han defended his big blind. The flop fell J♣ 2♥ 2♠, no bets landed. On the 6♥ turn, Han led for 60k and both Nakamura and You called. On the river A♠, Han sent out 320k that found one caller in Nakamura while You folded A♥ 5♥. Han was immediately heard saying to Nakamura, “nice call”, as he turned over 3♦ 6♦ two pair. Nakamura had much better with A♣ 9♥ higher two pair.
Nakamura storms to 1.8m. Han down to 435k.
