Aleksei Sei is now tabled with the chip leader and is stunned not just of the massive stack across him but the number of pots the leader has just won at the new table. This had Sei jesting, “who is this guy?”

Izutsu did in fact win three consecutive small pots. On a 2 A 6, Izutsu bet 35k and Bae Hyun Kyu called. On the turn Q and river K, both checked it and Izutsu won with K-7.

Next hand, was against Liu Qiao Nan who raised to 21k called by Izutsu. They checked it all the way to the end 9 7 10 8 10, Nan opened 7 4 pair but Izutsu had better with A 7.

Following that, Yozo Nomura raised to 25k and Izutsu called from the cutoff. At the flop 2 Q 10, Nomura bet 30k, Izutsu called. On the 7 and 6 river, both checked, and Izutsu won with 10-8 pair.
