Part Yu Cheung Sparrow sent Jin Tian packing in 9th place to deny her a spot in the Final 8. Action saw Cheung raise to 40k, Tian three-bet to 110k, Cheung shove his monstrous stack, and Tian calling for her tournament life.

Masato Yokosawa is on a roll! A few hands after doubling up through Victor Chong, he shut down Dong Guo in 10th place. The hand saw Yokosawa raised to 45k then Guo shoved on the big blind. Yokosawa snap-called.

The board bricked and we lost the last remaining decorated APT champion. Guo earned HKD 52,800 for his deep finish. Yokosawa now at 1M.


Masato Yokosawa doubles up through Victor Chong

Masato Yokosawa is no longer trailing behind. He has edged over average stack after shipping in a double up through Victor Chong. The hand kicked off with Yokosawa raising to 45k and Chong called from the button. At the flop 3 6 9, Yokosawa bet 70k and Chong called. On the Q turn it was checked then on the 5 river, Yokosawa shoved and Chong called. Yokosawa showed 7 6 for a flush.

Yokosawa climbed to 600k, Chong dropped to 650k.


Another nice pot for Yuri Ishida

Yuri Ishida claimed another splashy pot to bring her to average stack. Action began with Sai Ho Philip Chiu opening with a 28k raise, called by button Ishida, sb Park Yu Cheung Sparrow, and bb Victor Chong. At the flop 4 2 J, everyone checked to Ishida who bet 65. No one called.

Victor Chong led the betting round with a raise to 30k, button Michael Tran called, sb Masato Yokosawa called, then Yuri Ishida shoved on the big blind with 352k. Chong quickly folded but Tran hesitated. He folded followed right behind by Yokosawa. Tran showed J-J.


Dong Guo bluffs, doubles up Masato Yokosawa

Dong Guoraised to 30k from the button and short stacked Masato Yokosawa called from the big blind. At the flop Q 5 K, Yokosawa check-called Guo’s 35k bet. On the 3 turn it was checked and the river felted A. Yokosawa checked, Guo announced all in, Yokosawa snap-called. Guo showed 9 7 bluff, and Yokosawa won with A 3 two pair.


Victor Chong rises to 1M

Victor Chong has caught up to the leader Park Yu Cheung Sparrow after winning two pots in this final 10. The first pot he defended his big blind by calling Yuri ishida’s 30k button raise. At the completion of the board 8 J 10 9 5, no bets by either and Chong won with K 8.

A few hands after, Chong raised to 30k on cutoff and big blind Jin Tian called. On the flop 2 10 2, it was checked by both and the turn felted J. Chong bet 30k and Tian check-called. On the river 3, action was the same with Chong laying out a 100k bet and Tian with the check-call. Chong won with K J two pair.

Daniel Tang moved all in with his stack under 200k, and monster stacked Park Yu Cheung Sparrow called. Tang had A 8 and Cheung had him dominated with A Q. The board ran 9 5 J 7 9. Tang earned HKD 52,800 for his deep finish.
