Alan Lau loses two pots, doubles up Gabriel Carter

Alan King Lun Lau was one of the day’s late entries and quickly boosted up his stack to sit well above average stack. He lost some of it though in a couple of hands. The first one he raised to 3300 then folded to Yu Zhe’s three-bet to 12k.

The next one was a much heavier loss. With a big pot of 52k brewed and a complete board K 6 10 3 3, cutoff player Gabriel Carter shoved with his 69k remaining chips sending Lau tanking for some time. Lau could afford it then opted to finally make the call. Carter had K 10 two pair which was higher than Lau’s K 8 two pair.
