Three-way all-in among short-stacked players in one of the tables:
Jun Te: A♦ K♥
Lee Je Hoon: K♠ 8♠
*Another Player: 6♣ 7♣
Flop of 10♠ Q♠ 8♥ was tough for Te to take. And so was the turn 2♦ and river Q♠.
Te is eliminated along with another player we can’t identify as of the moment.
*Graeme Putt is the other player
Before the 10-minute break, Joven Huerto from the Philippines got booted out while holding A♠ 9♠ from the big blind.
The culprit was small blind Jerry Lai, who was just trying to steal the pot with just 10♥ 4♥.
Unfortunately for Huerto, the dealer boarded K♥ Q♠ 6♦ 10♠ 9♣ and he gets eliminated from the main event.
Huerto earns PHP 139,000 for his 23rd place finish.
Arnold Bathan opened to 28,000 preflop and saw Jerry Lai call. Marc Rivera wanted to join the action and more and pushed all of his stack (worth around 50K+ now after a few hands from the previous report when he was crippled)
Bathan got out of the way and Lai called.
Rivera: 6♥ 6♣
Lai: A♠ 10♠
Lai would hit his ace on the flop A♥ 8♣ 3♦ and the turn K♣ and river K♥ was of no use to Rivera who is ousted in 24th pace
No bust out here but Mandeep Narang has put a serious hurt on Marc Rivera.
Rivera pushed around 120,000 and was called by Narang who had over 90,000 or so.
Rivera: Q♣ 8♥
Narang: A♦ K♥
Narang was ahead all the way on the board J♦ 9♠ 6♦ 6♠ 3♦ and he climbs to over 210,000.
Rivera drops to danger levels of 25,000 or so.
Ms. Annie Bordallo has also busted out of the Asian Series main event.
Bordallo had A♠ Q♠ but was trailing Kekreja’s A♦ K♥
Flop Q♣ Q♦ 4♠ actually gave her the set but the turn J♦ and river A? gave him the runner-runner straight!
Bordallo busts out but takes home PHP 104,000.
Preflop Shove for the Showdown:
Hasse: Q♦ 8♦
Saito: J♥ J♣
Dealer boarded 4♦ 6♦ 2♣ 6♣ 2♠ busting out Hasse from this main event in 26th place for PHP 104,000.
Guam’s Rey Serafico only had 30,000 left and when he saw A♦ 4♣ he decided the ace-scrub is good enough at this point Unfortunately for him, Australia’s Arnold Bathan (with a wayyy bigger stack) had A♣ 10? and called his shove.
Flop 8♠ 7♣ J♠ turn A♠ and river 3♦ provided no fours and Serafico is out of the main event in 27th for PHP 104,000.
Very short-stacked and actually below the big blind, Calvin Gellido shoved with 10♠ 9♠. Victorino Torres called with 5♠ 6♦ and immediately flopped a straight when the dealer tabled 3♦ 7♠ 4♦.
Tough luck for Gellido, who goes out in 28th place for PHP 104,000.
