When the player from the small blind tried to steal his big blind, Dong Bin Han knew one thing but a decisive act: ALL-IN for 22,150.
This put the SB player deep into the tank as calling Han’s shove could mean his tournament life.
He eventually called and and it was the right decision (at that point): his K♦ Q♠ was ahead of Han’s 6♦ 4♣.
The flop gave both their pairs when the Q♣ 7♥ 6♣ arrived. However, the next two cards were tough to take for the SB player.
The turn 4♥ punched him in the guts and river 4♠ kicked him in the nuts and he is sent black and blue to the rail.
Han survives, thanks to protecting his big blind, and moves up to roughly 45,000 in chips.
