With just 6,000 behind, Joel Jeremias woke up with A♠ A♦ and shoved. One player who merely had 3♣ 4♣ called, much to the delight of Jeremias.
Flop 3♦ 2♦ 9♣ gave Jeremias’ opponent the pair but the turn 5♠ and river 10♦ did not provide the bad beat. Jeremias doubled up to around 18,000 at this point.
In the next hand, Jeremias woke up again with a great hand: A♣ K♦. And for the second straight time he found a caller when he shoved.
Similar to the first double-up, he was ahead and was only up against 7♣ 6♣.
The flop A♦ J♦ 3♠ brought a sigh of relief for Jeremias and the next two 8♠ 2♠ confirmed his second consecutive double-up.
He now has around 40,000– wayyy better than his under 10K stack about 10 minutes hands ago.
