APT Asian Series Manila 2013 Main Event

Chip Counts Update

Level: 27 Blinds: 20000-40000 Ante: 50000

You can check updated stack for each player in the chip counts tab. If you’re too lazy to click a few inches away on the top of this post, here’s the top three:

Vic Torres – 2.1M
Jerry Lai – 1.4M
Frank Acfalle Jr. – 1.2M

Kukreja Survives, Doubles

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Jerry Lai opened for 65,000 preflop and Haresh Kukreja went over the top for his final 360,000.

Lai tanked for a bit but eventually made the call tabling 8 8– a good call since Kukreja only had 4 4

Flop K A 2 and turn Q didn’t change anything but the turn 4 did as Kukreja celebrated his survival and double-up to around 720,000

Torres Trumps Bathan (8th Place – PHP 451,000)

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Victorino Torres put in a 70,000 raise preflop but saw Arnold Bathan move all-in for his final 300,000. Bathan started the day with the lowest stack of 451K in chips…

Torres decided it was time for Bathan to go home or double up and a preflop showdown was on:

Torres: 7 7
Bathan: J 5

Flop 8 3 K was no good for Bathan and neither was the turn 8 and river 9.

Torres climbs to over 2.2M after this hand.

Bathan meanwhile goes home with PHP 451,000 for being the first out in the final table.

Rivera Can’t Handle Torres Postflop

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Czardy Rivera checked on a flop of 9 9 6 but saw Victorino Torres open to 120,000.

Rivera spent some time in the tank before throwing away his hand… Torres gaining on Jerry Lai now with both’ stack hovering around 2M in chips.

Fold, Fold, Fold

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-3000 Ante: 5000

As expected, nobody wants to get involved this early into the final table play…

Hand #1 featured a Victorino Torres raise… Fold.

Hand #2 had Czardy Rivera raising as well… Fold.

Hand #3 Afcalle Jr. (re)introduced himself to his FT-mates… Fold from everyone as well.

Final Day, Final Table: Cards in the Air!
