Short-stacked, Ah Ton Lim had no recourse but to move all in with just 7♦ 10♦.
He was at risk against Mandeep Narang, who had 2♣ 2♦
Narang dodged the flop 8♦ 4♣ A♠, turn Q♣ and river 6♠ and he climbs to over 400,000 in chips.
Lim is sent to the rail in 13th place and gets PHP 217,000.
Jun Saito doubled-up in a recent hand, but he gave it all away to Jerry Lai in one of the next hands.
Saito opened to 60,000 preflop and saw Lai call from the big blind. Lai checked the flop 5♦ 7♠ K♠ but Saito shoved his stack well worth over 300K.
Lai tank-called with 8♠ 5♠ for what was a flush draw (and low pair) but was beat by Saito’s K♣ Q♣. Lai, who was wishing for the clubs, got 5♥ on the turn instead and the river 5♣ just beat added insult to injury.
If it’s your day it’s your day, right? Lai is easily one of the chip leaders at this point with over 2.2M.
Saito gets the boot from the main event in 14th place for PHP 217,000.
Jun Saito shoved his stack worth roughly 140,000 and found a caller in Victorino Torres, one of the players with huge stacks.
Saito’s 7♥ 7♦ dominated Torres’ 7♠ 9♠ in this heads-up and it stayed that way after the board 8♦ 3♥ 3♣ 10♦ 5♥ was tabled.
Saito climbs to over 300,000 in chips

“Show me the money!” says Jerry Lai (Actually he didn’t say it, we just assumed what he had in mind after this hand.)
Preflop, Jessie Supnet opened to 55,000 which was re-raised by Lai to 118,000. Supnet tanked for a bit before declaring all-in! (Roughly around 400,000 in chips)
It was time for Lai to spend some time on the tank… And eventually.. he CALLED for what could be the biggest pot of the night so far.
Supnet shows A♣ Q♥ and it was trailing Lai’s cowboys K♥ K♣.
Supnet needed an ace to win and the flop Q♦ 2♠ 9♣ provided him new outs. But still, no ace or queen on the turn 5♦ and river 8♣ and Supnet loses the hand, the huge pot and his tournament life.
Jerry has now over 2M in chips while Supnet is ousted in 15th place for PHP 217,000.

Srinivas Polishetty raised to 60,000 preflop but saw Jesse Supnet move all-in and had him covered.
Polishetty tanked for a bit eventually put his life at risk with 9♠ 9♥. He was up against Supnet’s big slick.
The flop J♠ K♦ J♦ put a grimace on Polishetty’s face. The turn 10♣ changed nothing and the river Q♣ put him straight to the rail.
Polishetty can smile though. He still goes home with PHP 174,000 for his 16th place finish in this Asian Series.
