A button player raised to 5,000 to kick things off preflop and found a caller in Jun Te from the small blind.
Both players checked the flop Q♦ 2♥ 5♠ but Te led out for 5,600 at the turn 3♣… Enough to take down the small pot.
We did not see the action nor the hands but we just saw a player being sent to the rail by The Vu Van of Vietnam.
The Vietnamese joins the upper echelon of the field today with over 90,000 in chips.
With the flop A♣ 6♣ J♠ already boarded, Shaun Jones moved all-in for his final 20,000 and got a caller from Hasumi Akihiko, who was on a flush draw with 3♣ 4♣.
Jones’ A♥ 5♥ was ahead but needed to dodge a club to survive.
Turn A♦ and river 3♠ wasn’t a club and Jones doubles-up to around 42,000.
A Korean who had a mid-sized stack opened preflop to 6,000.
Jihad Beijjani, who entered Day 2 with the chip-lead, would have none of it and shoved his huge stack still worth over 190,000!
In a clear case of the big stack bully, Beijjani scared his opponent off and won the pot.
The Lebanese appears to still have the chip lead with around 200,000 in chips.
Robert Browning has just doubled-up off Linh Tran.
Carrying the bullets on a board of Q♥ 2♠ 9♦ 3♣ 8♠, Browning shot down Tran’s cowboys and took down the pot.
Browning, who started the day with less than 40,000 has now over 65,000 in chips.
The community 5♣ 10♦ 3♠ 3♣ 10♣ was already in the middle as well as a large pot worth roughly 50,000.
Two players– Victorino Torres and Annie Bordallo were still in the hand and the former bet 22,00 on the river.
The latter tank-called and was shown the good news when her 9♣ 9♥ beat Torres’ 8♦ 8♥.
Bordallo started with 62,300 to start the day and has more than doubled that up with 150,000.
From the cut-off, Byung Park from Korea opened to 2,500 preflop and saw Shimpei Yamaguchi from Japan move all-in with his final 11,800.
