We have another batch of winners to acknowledge here at APT Philippines 2019. The latest victors were awarded APT golden lion trophies at Resorts World Manila. Congratulations to all!

Super High Rollers

Only four players coughed up the P500,000 entry fee of the Super High Rollers event for a prize pool of P1,938,300. Attending were Mike Takayama, Lester Edoc, Simon Burns, and Phachara Wongwichit. Each player was highly decorated with major titles making for some stiff competition. Thailand pro Wongwichit prevailed after defeating Burns at heads up.

The prize pool was intended for a winner-take-all payout but a deal was struck at heads up to award both players.

APT Japan Corp Invitational Freeroll

A special event in the roster was the APT Japan Corp Invitational Freeroll. It ran for two days with the final 8 returning on the second day. It streamed live on APT Twitch and APT YouTube. It has since been uploaded so you can watch the final table action anytime. After a long and tough heads up battle, Tetsuya Shido defeated Zentaro Nakayashiki to win the USD 12,000 top prize.

No Limit Hold’em #1

The two-day No Limit Hold’em #1 event drew a very strong 143 entries and with each one at P19,800, it generated  a prize pool worth P2,496,800. Of that, 24 players got paid. Claiming the biggest cut of P593,600 and first-ever APT victory was Candian player Louis Bilodeau

Short Deck 

The Short Deck event had a turnout of 80 runners. With each entry at P19,800, a sizable pot worth P1,396,800 was generated. 14 players shaved off their respective cut with Richard Marquez clinching the largest of P379,700 for his victory. This is Marquez’s third-ever APT title since his live tournament career began.

Short Deck High Rollers Single Day

Winning his second trophy of the series was Japan’s Junya Kubo at the Short Deck High Rollers Single Day. A few days ago Kubo won the NLH Single Day #1 event. His latest victory saw 21 pony up the P86,000 buy-in for a prize pool of P1,629,600. Only 4 players claimed a profit. Kubo pocketed P797,000 and became the first player to win two titles at the series.
