Li Yong Feng claims the No Limit Hold’em #2

A big turnout for the No Limit Hold’em #2 event with 118 ponying up the KRW 550,000 entry. This was just two players shy of matching the WeLoveSport event. The prize pool beefed up to KRW 57,230,000 (~USD 46,800) of which 20 players got a piece of. Japan commanded the final table in numbers however victory was not their to grab. Instead it was China’s Li Yong Feng who shipped it to earn himself his first-ever APT victory. He pocketed KRW 14,222,000 (~USD 11,600) making this his largest live tournament score.

Jun Ogasahara wins the High Rollers Single Day #2

Another title was claimed by Japan making that five winners so far. The latest was a first ever APT winner. Jun Ogasahara lifted the trophy at the KRW 2,150,000 High Rollers Single Day #2 event. He triumphed over 29 runners, besting a lineup of players decorated with a long list of impressive career achievements. He shipped a pocketful KRW 24,036,000 out of the KRW 56,260,000 pot.

Nobuhito Ogo takes down the Deep Stack Turbo #1

Closing out the action on Sunday, August 11 was the first edition of the Deep Stack Turbo event. Japan nearly swept the entire pot with only two out of the 12 payouts hailing from China. Landing his first-ever APT title was Nobuhito Ogo who overcame a field of 69 entries. He shipped a pocketful KRW 5,676,000 out of the KRW 20,079,000 prize pool. Ogo became the sixth Japanese national to claim a side trophy at the series.
