Last chance to enter the VND 8 BN gtd MAIN EVENT; Sim Qi Ren bags overall lead; chip counts and seat draw inside

APT Kick-off Vietnam drew a large crowd of 181 runners at partner venue Pro Poker Club for the last starting day of the VND 8 billion guaranteed MAIN EVENT. Combine that with the previous days turnout, this brought the featured tournament to 328 entries. For all you fence-sitters, short stacks, bust outs, and late-comers, registration is still open for one hour in Day 2. Don’t miss your chance at winning the first APT championship title of 2020!

The last starting day stayed true to tradition as it pulled in the largest crowd of all the entry heats. 181 powered in. At the end of scheduled play, 75 remained with Sim Qi Ren amassing a monster pile of 213,300. This was equivalent to nine starting stacks. Sim will enter Day 2 as overall chip leader. 

Also bagging up a hefty 149,600 was Sumit Sapra to put him second rank overall. To round out the top three was Alex Wei Xiang Lee with 124,200. Other notable players surviving were Le Ngoc Khanh, Vincent Li, David Erquiaga, Terry Nguyen, Lu Zheng Hao (NLH winner), and APT decorated champion Harry Duong
