Kun Han Lee wins second title at the HR Single Day; Sasha Liu ships PLO Hi

Day 1 of APT Taiwan 2021 at the CTP Club Taipei (Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association) had two side games for players to feast on, the Pot Limit Omaha Hi and the High Rollers Single Day. These were the first two of 17 side games scheduled. At the completion, USA’s Sasha Liu won her first tournament on Taiwan soil and series opener champion Kun Han Lee scored his second title. 

High Rollers Single Day – KUN HAN LEE – NT$ 269,400 (~US$ 9,670)

Taiwanese player Kun Han Lee is on fire at the series. He claimed his first ever APT title at the festival opener APT Taiwan Mini Main Event then captured his second at the High Rollers Single Day. At the latter, Lee triumphed over the 26 entry field which included Pete Yen Han Chen and Kitty Kuo. He defeated Taiwanese pro Chi Jen Chu at heads up to earn the NT$ 269,400 (~US$ 9,670) first prize and his second APT trophy. This gives him a stronghold at the APT Player of the Series race. Taking down the day’s Pot Limit Omaha Hi side event was USA player Sasha Liu for NT$ 66,500 (~US$ 2,400). Liu is a newcomer to the APT and what better way to display her skills than by overcoming the 20 player field for her first Asia title.
