Running from February 19 to March 15 is APT Taiwan 2021 which takes place live at two of the most popular Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association branches – CTP Club Taichung and CTP Club Taipei. For players fortunate enough to be in Taiwan during this time, there’s plenty to look forward to. The series features NT$ 5.5 million in guarantees and 21 tournaments with buy ins ranging from NT$ 5K to NT$ 27K. If you haven’t viewed the schedule yet, just click on the link below. Featured Events
In November last year, the APT held its first event at the CTP Club Taichung, drawing 153 entries to the APT Championships Event. The tour returns to this vibrant location for its first event of the festival, the APT Taichung Mini Main Event featuring a NT$ 500,000 guarantee. This is the first of three events where players are awarded an APT Champions Ring along with the designated APT event trophy.

From here, the tour takes a five day break, resuming on February 26 for the highlighted APT Taiwan Main Event NT$ 2,000,000 guaranteed.
APT Taiwan Main Event
The APT Taiwan Main Event is the tour’s top of the line tournament. Since our first visit to Taiwan, we have awarded four Main Event champions with only Zong Chi He hailing from home soil. Champion of this event will take home an APT Champions Ring along with the APT Main Event Trophy.
For this series, the featured event will take place in two locations. Day 1A will kick off at CTP Club Taichung then from Day 1B onwards, it will be held at CTP Club Taipei. Main Event Day 1B marks the first day of APT Taiwan 2021 at the CTP Club Taipei. Make sure to review the dates.

Championships Event
The Championships Event is the third featured event and alike the main, it guarantees a sizable NT$ 2,000,000 guarantee. Five players have previously captured this title with Taiwan’s Chin Kai Chen as the most recent winner. The eventual champion wins the designated APT Championships Trophy and APT Champions Ring.

APT Taichung Special Event
To close out the series, the APT heads back to CTP Club Taichung for the APT Taichung Special Event. The event guarantees NT$ 1,000,000 and is the last of the events with a guaranteed prize pool attached. The eventual champion wins the designated APT Championships Trophy, luxury watch, and CTP Championship Series Pass worth NT$ 25,000.

Other Events
From February 27 to March 8, the series takes place at CTP Club Taipei. Apart from the featured tournaments, 17 varied games are also offered with buy ins and games for all types of players. Among them are popular events such as the Monster Stack, High Rollers, Deep Stacks, and PLO. It is a mix of single day and two day events.
APT Player of the Series
Of course the festival is not complete without the APT Player of the Series contest wherein the player with most points accrued at the end of the festival is awarded a slew of prizes. The celebrated winner will take home the APT POS Trophy, APT POS Ring, a luxury watch, and US$ 800. For 2nd place and 3rd place, a designated APT POS Trophy and US$ 100.
