Congratulations to Vietnam’s Ha Duong for being the first APT Main Event Champion to be crowned in Cambodia. From a total of 122 entries, Duong was the last man standing in the APT Asian Series Cambodia 2012 US$ $1,100 Main Event at the Las Vegas Sun Hotel & Casino. He picks up US$ 30,200 in prize money after defeating Germany’s Jan-Eric Schwippert in a drawn out heads up contest.
At the day’s Final 8 ceremony, APT Tournament Manager Jason Morris revealed additional prizes in the already heated APT Player of the Year race…
“We’re happy to announce that in addition to the APT Player of the Year winner receiving a trophy and US$ 8,000 worth of APT Main Event buy ins, the next 2 runners-up will also receive One (1) seat to an Asian Poker Tour Main Event worth US$ 2,700 and One (1) APT Asian Series Main Event worth US$ 1,100 respectively.”
