Linh Tran is APT Asian Poker Series Cambodia 2015 Main Event Champion

The APT Asian Poker Series Cambodia 2015 Main Event champion has been crowned and standing in glorious victory is Vietnamese player Linh Tran. Tran overcame a fierce final table to claim his first-ever APT Main Event championship title here at the Queenco Hotel & Casino.

APT Asian Poker Series Cambodia 2015 Main Event Champion, Linh Tran

Tran, who has made multiple APT Final Table appearances, came into the final table second in chips with 530,000 next to Oscar Alache, himself an internationally decorated player, with the largest stack of 846,000.

These two players would then face each other for the title. It was a different story this time as Tran had the 3:1 lead over Alache. It was a long battle as both were seasoned warriors on the felt. But in the end, Tran’s chip lead definitely worked to his advantage and eventually left Alache to settle for second place and the cash prize of USD 16,000. Tran took home the APT Asian Poker Series Cambodia 2015 Main Event title along with the USD 26,130 cash prize.

Here’s the top ten payout for the Main Event:
