Guo Dong awarded the High Rollers Single Day win

In a heads up deal,  Chinese pro Guo Dong was awarded the victory at the High Rollers Single Day and pocketed a cool NT$ 600,000. Taiwan’s Lee Kun Han took second for a payout of NT$ 716,000.

The event brought 55 to action at NT$ 55,000 each for a prize pool of NT$ 2,667,500 (~US$ 87,500). During the bubble round, runner-up Lee Kun Han doubled up through Ben Lai with pocket queens dominating pocket jacks. Immediately after, the bubble burst at the fall of Kong Seongsu with J J losing the flip to Chu Chi Jen‘s A K on a board running 7 3 A A K

From there, dropouts were fast to form the final table.

When the field trimmed to just four players, Park Ju Yuk pushed with Q-J only to get bumped out by Philemon Ip‘s A-10. However, Ip couldn’t hold the chips. His A 5 missed the board to fall in 3rd place to Lee’s A Q. This brought about heads up. After an ICM deal, Guo Dong was awarded the win and Lee the higher take.

Keon Yong Ma wins the No Limit Hold’em Single Day

84 jumped at the chance to join the No Limit Hold’em Single Day with each contributing the NT$ 7,700 buy-in. This created a pot worth NT$ 570,400 (~US$ 18,700) to be divvied by the top 14 places. Korea’s Keon Yong Ma lifted his first-ever APT title along with NT$ 132,600 (~US$ 4,300).

At the fall of Low Zi Cheng to Yo Hwan Lim with A 4 unable to crack 4 4, pieces of the money pie were immediately claimed and the final table of 9 players was soon formed.

Low Zi Cheng

Once it reached three-handed, Lim joined Yves Lin moving all his chips out front. Lim A K, Lin A 10, when the board ran 4 7 4 3 10, Yves spiked a pair on the river to eliminate Lim.
