HomeIt is only February, and already, the Asian Poker Tour has another poker festival right at your heels, the APT Cebu 2016 still in partnership with the All In Poker Sports Club. This event will take place from February 10-18, 2016 at its usual location, the Waterfront Lahug Hotel & Casino in Cebu, Philippines.
There are a slew of events to look forward to at the APT Cebu 2016 with a P55,000 entry Main Event and 18 additional side events to enjoy. The festival will get rolling with the Opening Event P1,000,000 Guaranteed on February 10 with both of its qualifying heats held on the same day, flight A at 1pm and flight B at 5pm. In addition to the Opening Event, there will also be other two-day events such as the No Limit Hold ‘em event, the Monster Stack, the NLH Freezeout, and the High Rollers event.
As usual, all the regular APT events will be on the roster such as the Battle of the Nations, the Ante Up for Charity, Head Hunter, Greed NLH, Ante Only, Pot Limit Omaha Hi, Six Handed Turbo w/Antes, as well as the numerous Deepstack Turbo events.

With the continuous rise in popularity of Open Face Chinese Pineapple, the APT Cebu 2016 has two events on the roster to fill that craving, the OFC Pineapple Shootout (36 max), and the High Roller OFC Pineapple Shootout (12 max).
As for the Main Event, the APT introduced some new elements at the start of the year, such as the Main Event Bubble Protection, the APT Championship Ring, and the RFID Poker Table for the Final 8. The RFID Poker Table will also be used by quite a number of side events so expect to see these latest innovations and mainstays at the APT Cebu 2016!
The APT Player of the Year 2016 leader board is also off to a great start with the top three spots held by, Japan’s Tetsuya Tsuchikawa, followed by Korea’s Soo Jo Kim, and in third, the quadruple crown APT POY champion 2012-2015 Samad Razavi. We will most likely see these players heating up the felt at the APT Cebu 2016.
