Today is your last chance to enter the Main Event of the Asian Poker Tour Experience Manila 2016 with Day 1b taking the stage at 1pm at the APT Poker Room in Waterfront Manila Pavilion Casino and Hotel. The entry fee for the Main Event is P55,000 which gives you a deep starting stack of 20,000 chips (that’s a whopping 400 times the starting big blind) with blinds escalating every hour.
The Main Event Bubble Protection is also in effect today. As proven by some of those who have bubbled while qualified for bubble protection, having this incentive is quite handy because in the event that you end up as the unfortunate bubble, you won’t end up completely empty-handed. With Bubble Protection you will be entitled to one FREE ENTRY SEAT to the next APT Main Event of the same value. Here are the steps on how to qualify:
- Pre-register
- Draw for your seat before starting time
- Have your chips put into play on the first deal of round number 1
For re-entry players, if you have already met the qualifications for Bubble Protection, you will maintain that status. For Day 1a survivors planning to go for multiple stacks, you must repeat the steps above.
Side Event Results and Schedule
There are two side events on deck today, the No Limit Hold ‘em 1 Day event with a P16,500 entry fee. This event starts at 2pm. Then at 6pm, the Deep Stack Turbo event with a buy-in of P5,500 kicks off the evening’s poker fun.

The Koreans dominated the money round with Korean player Joohan Park defeating fellow Korean pro Jeon Seung Soo and Changhun Lee to earn the P131,000 first place cash prize and the event trophy.
