PASAY CITY, Philippines – Former Asian Poker Tour (APT) Main Event titlist Lester Edoc of the Philippines relied on some pretty big finishing hands to claim a humungous stack at the end of hostilities in Day 1A of the Championships Event in APT 2022 Philippines at Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.
Edoc, who just a few hours prior took down his 13th APT crown by virtue of his triumph in (Event #26) the High-Rollers 6-Max Hyper Turbo got involved in several big hands during the final countdown to wind up the session and prevailed each time to amass 348,000 in total holdings.
The Baguio City native is currently being trailed by Australia’s Li Lok Ching with 272,000 while another Filipino in Joseph Talamayan with 189,000.
In all, 68 entries were recorded in Day 1A with Day 1B set to commence tomorrow (November 24th) at 1:00PM (UCT+8).
This event carries a guaranteed prize pool of PhP10M (US$174,615).
Meanwhile, action in (Event #27) the Single-Day NLH has now reached the Final Table with prize pool now set at PhP1,134,900 (US$19,443) with the winner pocketing PhP314,500 (US$5,527).
