The final day ran a lengthy twelve+ hours before the champion emerged. Among the players that fell by the wayside was Do Van Phuong A♥ Q♣ who bubbled on a bad beat delivered by Do Kwan Nam A♠ J♣ when a jack found the flop. Once the money flowed, it was instant excitement as the first to draw a mystery bounty reward, Cuong Vu Nguyen, shockingly pulled one of the top three prizes worth VN₫ 176,500,000. Cuong went on to claim another bounty reward of VN₫ 9,800,000 and finished 8th for a combined VN₫ 227,000,000 payday.
The next lucky player who drew the coveted top mystery prize was USA’s Robert Kiss. The lone American in the field held his own against the heavy populated local force, collecting a total of three bounties amounting to VN₫ 186,000,000 before departing in 4th place. Kiss A♣ 2♣ was outdrawn by Nhat Nguyen K♥ J♥ king on the turn to plunge below 1 BB. In cash ranking, Kiss closed the day as the second highest earner.
As for Nhat, despite the big boost in chips, he couldn’t keep it intact. He pushed with K♣ 7♠ and ran smack and out into Huy Quang Nguyen’s A♦ A♥. This brought about heads up with Son Duc Tran needing a few double ups to catch the leader. He managed one but on the next showdown it ended the tournament. Nguyen A♣ 10♠ shoved his straight on the river, Tran risked it with K♥ 6♦ two pairs on a board Q♠ 6♥ J♥ K♠ 2♥.
Other players that reached the money were the day’s entering chip leader Dang Duy Thanh in 19th place, Sang Van Nguyen (17th) who delivered the only double elimination in the money round, and India’s Vaibhav Sharma who clawed his way to 7th place.
