Day Five: Headhunter Champ Crowned, 18 More Advance to Day 2 of Main Event

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau 2010 continued play in the City of Dreams in Macau now on the fifth day of this 9-day festival of poker from November 6 to 14.

After Day 1A and Day 1B, 25 players advanced to Day 2 set for Friday, November 12. David Steicke took top spot with the most number of chips (68,700) and became the overall chip leader so far. Anthony Roux, Zhou Chun Lei, Li You Nan and CT Law complete the top five.

Meanwhile in the PKR Head Hunter event, 82 players registered including Tommy Le, James McCarty, J.C. Tran, Tracy Hugh and Quinn Do. It was Edmund Lee who survived the 7-hour struggle as he won HK$ 74,400 for his efforts. Nine other players were placed in the money.

Poker action continues today at 11AM with the Last Chance Main Event Turbo Super Satellite w/R+A with a buy-in of HK$ 1,500 + HK$ 150. At 1PM, it’s the APT Macau Main Event Day 1C followed by the 8-Handed tournament at 6PM.

APT Macau 2010 Main Event is set at HK$ 32,500 + HK$2,500.
