Day 1C garners 222 entries, 95 advance to Day 2; registration still possible

 
HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – The dust has settled at the end of Day 1C of the APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh 2022 Main Event as 95 now join the initial 194 who advanced to Day 2 and have earned their shot at a prize pool that has ballooned to over VND 12.4B (US$530,000) which is over twice the guarantee, at the Saigon Poker Club here.
 
The players emerging from Day 1A and Day 1B will begin their Day 2 in Flight A which commences at exactly 1:00PM (UCT+7) while Day 1C qualifiers begin their grind at 6:30 PM tomorrow (14th August). The action resumes at the start of Level 9—400/800 (800 BB ante).
 
Only players that get eliminated before the end of Level 11 have the option to re-enter and fork out the VND22M (US$946.00) buy-in, will be given a Re-Entry Slip that will be allow them to compete in Day 2 Flight B up to the start of Level 11. Re-Entries and newcomers won’t be allowed to join Day 2 Flight A.
 
A strict No Re-Entry Slip, no Re-Entry rule is in place to keep the integrity of the event intact.
NEW players wanting to join Day 2B must show an ID to prove they were not eliminated after the first 2 Levels of Day 2 Flight A.
 
It is important to note that players who bust out after the first two levels of any Day 2 and attempt to re-enter as a new player will be disqualified with the buy-in placed into the prize pool, the chips taken out of play, and will be given no refund.
 
By the time Level 11 begins, the remaining combatants will have to survive five more levels in order to join Day 3 of the competition (on 15th August) en route to the Final 8 which will take place on Tuesday (16th August).
 
Three Vietnamese aspirants dominated Day 1C with Vu Van Lich (more known in these parts as “Mr. Vu Gia”) attaining the chip-lead with 181,500 followed by Dinh Xuan Dunh with 164,700 and 153,000 to Trun Thinh in third.
 
Meanwhile, Event #10—the third Single-Day High-Rollers—finally went the way of the host nation as Cao Hai Son needed less than 15 minutes to defeat compatriot Pham Thanh Dat for the top prize of VND738,330,000.00 (US$31,748). Japan’s Rikuto Sashida captured third place.
