Chun Kit Lee and Yanchao Li first turbo winners; Hung Sheng Lin on his 5th cash

Fast-paced tournaments of the APT Macau Championships 2018 have begun with two turbo events flying at Macau Billionaire Poker in Babylon Casino. In the aftermath, Hong Kong’s Chun Kit Lee and Yanchao Li lifted trophies along with sweet cash prizes for their victories. Results below.

Chun Kit Lee speeds through the Super Deep Stack; Hung Sheng Lin on his 5th cash

The Super Deep Stack Turbo was the first event to rev its engines with 65 entries burning up the felt for a prize pool of HKD 126,100. In what was a very fast final table, Hong Kong’s Chun Kit Lee defeated Japan’s Kazuhiko Yotsushika  at the heads up round to claim his first APT title and the HKD 35,700 purse.

Despite coming in 2nd, Yotsushika was the cause for celebration after he nailed the bubbled with his K J full house over 9 9 on a board of K 6 8 K J.

In addition to the top two, notable players in the money were Championships Event Day 1A leader, Tso Wei in 3rd place, Yuri Ishida in 9th place, and Main Event champion Hung Sheng Lin finishing 7th. Lin continues to dominate the series, earning his 5th cash. Right after this event, he joined the Championships Event and advanced to Day 2.

Yanchao Li wins the Deep Stack Turb0

China’s Yanchao Li closed the night with a victory at the Deep Stack Turbo event. 47 players jumped in to generate a prize pool of HKD 68,400.

Bringing you the speedy action at five-handed with everyone very short stacked, Li railed Takeo Kiuchi with 6 6 set over A Q top pair on a board of 6 Q 10 J 2.

Next out was Erik Billgren in 4th place with Kai Paulsen foiling his attempt at a third double up. This was followed with Tetsuya Tsuchikawa shipping in a triple up with his A-7 full house on a board 7-A-J-7-9. With Paulsen losing some of his chips to Tsuchikawa, he soon fell in 3rd place to bring about the heads up round between Li and Tsuchikawa.

A few hands in, Li doubled up with his K 8 two pair to avoid elimination by Tsuchikawa’s A 5 with the board running 4 3 K 8 J. Li went on to win it with his A Q dominating K 9

Congratulations to the newest batch of winners!
