APT Taiwan 2020 held its last starting day of the MAIN EVENT pulling in another 37 to partner / host venue Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club). This brought the total entries to 74 with the prize pool at around TW$ 2.1 million, roughly US$ 71,900.
Good news for those on the sidelines, registration is still open in Day 2 for one final hour. It will close at exactly 210pm. A total of 34 players qualified into Day 2. They will be led in by Taiwanese high roller Chi Jen Chu who bagged 149,000 at Day 1B.

Day 1B review
To quickly recap Day 1B, this was the last starting day however as stated above, registration is still open for another two rounds in Day 2. Making his way to the top of the heap in this round to secure the overall chip lead was Chi Jen Chu with 149,000. Chu recently finished 2nd at the series High Rollers event and 4th at the No Limit Hold’em. He is one of Taiwan’s strongest players with deep runs at various events including 6th place at the APT Taiwan 2019 series in October.
Also advancing was Taiwanese pro Pete Yen Han Chen, jumping in immediately after cashing at the NLH Single Day event. Among those missing the mark were Iori Yogo, Wilson Lim, and Chan Lok Ming. They have one final chance tomorrow. Listed below are the players that survived Day 1B.
