It was a hopping house at CTP Club Taipei (Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association) as players filed in for another day of thrilling APT Taiwan 2021 games. Highlighting the festivities was the featured MAIN EVENT with registration open in Day 2 for one final hour. At the close, 46 ponied up. Combining that number with the past three starting days of 150 entries, the event drew a total of 196 runners for a smashing NT$ 2,851,800 (~US$ 102,320) prize pool. To emphasize how much was added to the guaranteed pot, a whopping US$ 30,000 more. Day 2 closed with 25 players which was five spots from the money. Day 2 recap
Day 2 kicked off with the 66 starting day survivors back on the felt led by Day 1C’s Te Wei Chung. By the end of the first hour, registration closed, adding 46 more to the cumulative entries. Another seven levels later, it was bagging time. 25 players lived on to see Day 3. With the money starting at 20th place, players would have to wait to see it flow. Among the survivors were late entries Chi Jen Chu and Kitty Kuo. Both players bagged up very healthy stacks however it was Cheng How Pan who earned the kingly seat with 379,000 in chips. Impressively, Pan only had 16 BB at the start of Day 2 then drove it upwards to 75 BB. Right at his heels was Kuo with 341,500 in chips (68 BB).
Day 1B chip leader Li Su Chi Kwon and Day 1C chip leader Te Wei Chung also pulled through however Day 1A leader Ho Ru Wu didn’t survive the heat. Others making the cut were Kristof Segers, En Hao Chan, Ori Kossonogi, and APT Taichung Mini Main Event runner up Zhi Hao Huang.
