Singapore’s Lee Wei Li wins the Super Deep Stack Turbo

Singapore’s Lee Wei Li bulldozed through the final table, knocking out more than half the competition to lift his first ever APT trophy. Leading up to his win, Lee delivered the bubble by knocking out Stephen Nathan in 10th place. Nathan shoved on a board 7 7 4 4 8 holding K J that was behind Lee’s A 8. From there, it only to one hour to claim the victory. Lee eliminated Tran Huy Hoang in 3rd place with 3 3 spiking a set on the river to beat and bust out Tran’s 9 9. At heads up, Lee was backed by a massive pile that Vo Hoai “Victor” Lam could not crack. The final hand was Lee A 10 dominating A 8 on a board Q 10 J 5 8

Zarvan Tumboli cuts an ICM deal to claim the Hyper Deep Stack Turbo win

During the final four players, it pretty much was anyone’s game at the Hyper Deep Stack Turbo with average stack at a just 10 BB. After chip leader Maaku Tanaka railed fellow countryman Makoto Fujia with his big stack, he went on to lose three shoves that sent him packing up in 3rd place. Heads up between India’s Zarvan Tumboli and Nguyen Viet Anh resulted in an ICM deal that guaranteed Tumboli the higher payout and second ever APT win. His first tour victory was at the 2017 APT Macau Opening Event.
