Coming up to the plate today is the second featured tournament of the APT Philippines Championships 2018. The Championships Event gets underway at 1pm in Resorts World Manila. This is a deep structured No Limit Hold’em tournament with a buy-in of Php110,000. Other than the Main Event, it is the only other event where you can win the exclusive APT Championship Ring.
Below are some important info that will be good to keep in mind for the Championships Event:
- This is a five-day tournament with two starting days, Day 2, Day 3, and the Final 8. There will be a one day break on Friday, March 30 for Good Friday, religious holiday. Game resumes on Saturday, March 31 for Day 2
- Each starting day plays out 8 levels of sixty minutes each
- Registration is open until the start of Level 10 which means players can sign up until the first hour of Day 2
- Bubble Protection will be in effect
Players begin with a 50,000 stack, opening blinds at 100-200 with gradual increases every sixty minutes. Day 2 will play down to the money or 8 levels. The Final 8 will be streamed live on APT Twitch and APT YouTube. The Hong Kong Poker Players Association will also be streaming live in Chinese at their new douyu channel.
Bubble Protection
At every APT featured event we offer a great incentive, the Bubble Protection. Players that have qualified for the protection will be insured on the bubble. In the event that an insured player falls as the unfortunate bubble, then he/she will receive a consolation prize of “one free seat to the next Championships Event or the equivalent in APT tournament credits”. Now that’s a great deal. And all you have to do to be eligible is to complete these three steps:
- Pre-register
- Draw for your seat before the 1pm starting time
- Have your chips put into play on the first deal of Level 1
Eliminated players wanting bubble protection on the next starting day will have to qualify again.
