As the field closed in on the bubble round, Huang proceeded to knockout both Taiwan’s Pete Yen Han Chen and Crawshaw to amass quite the arsenal at bubble time. Exiting on the bubble was short stacked Ming who was also emptied out by Huang. Ming pushed with 6 6, Huang snap-called with A 4, and ace came on fourth street.

Getting the boot next was Taiwan’s Lin Chen An who first doubled up through Huang then gave it all back when A 5 failed him against K 6 on a board 5 2 8 K 10. This brought about heads up between Huang and Chi Jen Chu. Huang had a 9;1 advantage. It took only one hand to ship it in. Huang had J J, Chu with Q 10, the board paired up Chu’s ten but no further improvement.

Taking the action from the bubble round with 6 remaining, Chan Lok Ming was already the chip leader. Eventual second placer Chen Chien Sin nearly busted pushing his short stack with K 6 that was dominated by Ori Kossonogi‘s A Q. A six landed on the flop and held for a double up. However, Sin’s rise went on a fast drop when he doubled up a player when A Q was outdrawn by J 10. Crippled and desperate, Sin shoved the next two hands and tripled up on both to bring his stack in decent form. Ming delivered the bubble.

First to the money was He Zong Chi with all his chips shipped by Kossonogi. Next out was Chi Jen Chu who first doubled up with Q J through Kossonogi’s K 10 two pair on a board K 10 A 5 9, then lost a sizable pot to Ming on a straight versus flush. Down to 5 bbs, Chu’s pocket fours fell behind Sin’s ace-king that found a king on the board.

Three-handed saw Kossonogi double up through Ming which Ming took back and more. Kossonogi’s A 9 failed to improve against Ming’s 3 3. The final two players immediately struck a deal for a fixed amount. With Ming backed by an enormous stack, he was awarded the victory.
