APT Vietnam Phu Quoc: Ng Chow Han tops Mystery Bounty survivors; Phan Phuc Duc “Jerry” wins Deep Stack Turbo

Day 1 of the inaugural APT Vietnam Phu Quoc is in the books! Completing first was the Deep Stack Turbo event. At the close of late registration, Vietnam’s Phan Phuc Duc “Jerry” proceeded to wipe out all of his opponents in four quick hands. He became the first ever APT side event champion awarded on the island. Big applause to Phan! He shipped the VN₫ 119,400,000 first prize and now leads the APT Player of the Series race with 118.80 points. The event attracted four players.

Closing up later in the night was the series opener Mystery Bounty event. Despite the cancellation of the VN₫  1 Billion guarantee, it still drew 48 entrants with 12 advancing to the final day. Flight A chip leader Ng Chow Han will enter as overall chip leader with 54 BB. At his heels is Flight B chip leader Dennis Ng with 52.5 BB, and rounding out the top three is Nguyen Minh Cong with 52 BB.
