APT Vietnam 2018 lastest winners: Tetsuya Enoki bags #2; Hisashi Ogi, Andreas Rauh, and Philemon Ip

With the APT Vietnam 2018 – MAIN EVENT – grabbing all the headlines, we’ve missed out on reporting all the recent winners of our side events. Here’s a look at them below. Congratulations to all of the latest victors!

Tetsuya Enoki wins another trophy

Two days ago Japan’s Tetsuya Enoki won the NLH Single Day 2 event topping a field of 101 entries. Last night, Enoki once again navigated through a big field, overcoming the 121 runners of the No Limit Hold’em 1 event to win the VND 198,300,000 first prize. He defeated Vietnam’s Tran Duc Nghia at heads up to ship in a second event trophy. As it stands, Enoki is the only player that has captured two titles at the series. For a brief recap of the bubble action, Richard Mari railed a player with A 8 over K Q on a board of K A 7 3 J. Payouts began at 21st places. Total prizepool: VND 821,590,000 – Buyin: VND 7,700,000

Among the notables in the money were Hisashi Ogi (4th), Kazuma Inotsume (5th), Piet Pape (6th), Yohn Paredes (7th), Christopher Mateo (7th), and En Ching Wu (17th).

Andreas Rauh wins the WeLoveSport.com event

The WeLoveSport.com Deep Stack Hyper Turbo attracted 78 runners to the tables with Andreas Rauh denying Tony Ngeow Chung Fai the title. This was the second time Tony was in this position having missed the title by one spot against Vi Khoa at the Monster Stack opening event. Rauh earned VND 103,170,000 in winnings. Among the notable players in the money, Tran Hong Hai 3rd), Go Mori (5th), Dhanesh Chainani (6th), Dhaval Mudgal (8th), Do Hoang Quan (9th), and Samad Razavi (13th). 

Hisashi Ogi wins the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo 2

Hisashi Ogi captured the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo 2 trophy defeating Thanisorn Saelor at heads up. Like Tony above, we’ve seen Saelor in this position days ago having busted in second place to Feng Zhao at the NLH event. The event attracted only 30 runners  with each one tossing in VND 5,500,000 for a prize pool of VND 145,500,000. 5 places paid. 

Hisashi Ogi wins, Thanisorn Saelor down for the count

The final hand saw Ogi land a lucky two pair on the river with his A-6 offsuit to beat Saelor’s pocket jacks. You can watch the final table action right here at APT Twitch. 

Philemon Ip  wins the No Limit Hold’em 2 

The No Limit Hold’em 2 event concluded its two-day run with Hong Kong’s Philemon Ip crushing the competition to seize the VND 172,350,000 cash and the event trophy.

The heads up match saw Ip with a dominating lead against He Xiayin

The final, Xiayin pushed with Q 8 and Ip called with A 2. The board ran K 5 3 A 7
