HomeAPT Taiwan 2021 is down to its final event of the series, the APT Taichung Special Event, which takes place from March 12 to 15 at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) in Taichung. The event guarantees NT$ 1,000,000 (~US$ 35,890). The eventual champion will take home the last APT Golden Lion Trophy of the series, a luxury watch, and a CTP Championship Series Pass worth NT$ 25,000. Mark the dates!

The APT Taichung Special Event is another deep format tournament crafted by the APT. Two starting days open the event, both heats run 40 minute blinds. For a buy in of NT$ 10,000, players begin with a very healthy 60,000 stack which is 600x the Level 1 blinds. Registration closes at the end of Level 9. Starting days bag up at the end of Level 15. For those that advance, Day 2 and the Final Day will see blinds increase every 60 minutes.

For newcomers to Taichung, it is well worth the trip. Taichung is the second biggest city in Taiwan with plenty of attractions such as the National Museum of Natural Science, Rainbow Village, various temples, parks, and if you are into milk tea, then Chun Shui Tang is a must. It is the famous shop that created the pearl milk tea. If you are in Taipei, travel to Taichung is quite easy with multiple transportation choices – bus, train, or high speed rail.
