In a special announcement during a break in the Final Table of the APT Asian Series Manila 2013 Main Event, Resorts World Manila (RWM) Chief Gaming Executive Officer Hakan Dagtas and Asian Poker Tour (APT) Chief Executive Officer Jeff Mann revealed that both gaming giants will be partnering once again for a special poker event in December called the APT-RWM Iron Man Poker Challenge.
The special event, which is the first of its kind in Asia, has a buy-in of US$ 700 and will be held from December 11th to 15th later this year and will aim to break the Guinness World Records “Longest Continuous Poker Tournament”.
The current record was set in August of 2012 in the Delaware Park’s Ironman Poker Challenge in Delaware, USA. The tournament ran for 36 hours, 34 minutes and 41 seconds from August 25th at 12 noon and finished on August 27th 12:36 a.m.
