APT Philippines 2010 Dates Announced

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) will be holding APT Philippines 2010 this August at Resorts World Manila.

APT Philippines 2010 will be held this year in late August, which has been traditionally reserved for the APT’s Macau event. The official dates for the tournament are August 23 to 29. Buy-in will be US $2,500 + US $200.

“We are very excited to be holding one of our biggest events at a world-class venue such as Resorts World Manila,” said chief executive officer Mr. Jeff Mann. “This is only one of our events for 2010, so be sure to stay tuned for the rest of this year’s schedule!”

Last year’s APT Philippines 2009 attracted 262 players from around the world and was won by local poker pro Neil Arce, who took home US $185,000.

RWM is holding its first-ever major poker tournament today. Entitled the “Resorts World Manila Inaugural Poker Championships”, the event will be held from April 16 to 19 at RWM. The tournament is an APT-accredited event and features a Php 2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
