The Asian Poker Tour 2021 season opener – APT Online Series India – is a wrap! The festival ran from January 15th to January 26th at PokerBaazi.com. 48 players came out victorious with Rajat “happyfish” Mahajan crowned the first ever series Main Event champion. We are thrilled to announce that the event paid out a grand prize pool of ₹ 8,57,80,000 (~US$ 1,175,686) with 22,175 total entries , and 2,617 players paid out. Satellites not included. APT Player of the Series
The APT Player of the Series race came down to the wire and in the end it was Vivekk “Vivek25” Dube racking up 1,147 points on the final day to surge past Aditya “adit11” Kulkarni for the title. Congratulations to the winner! 25 players earned a piece of the ₹ 28 lakhs (real cash bonus) pot with the top three claiming additional prizes.
1st place: Vivekk “Vivek25” Dube – 7,259 points
With 7,259 points accrued, Vivekk “Vivek25” Dube claimed the tour’s most distinguished APT Player of the Series title. Throughout the series, Dube was seen at a whopping 9 final tables with a victory at the 5 PLO on opening day.
Entering the final day, Dube was ranked 2nd with only 180 points separating him and race leader Aditya “adit11” Kulkarni. With a 16th place finish at the Main Event and final table berths at both Turbo events, he overtook to collect the motherlode of prizes: APT Player of the Series Trophy, APT Player of the Series Ring, a luxury watch, and ₹ 5.5 lakhs in real cash bonus. The Asian Poker Tour‘s next stop is APT Taichung 2021 on February 19, 20,21, & 26 at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) in Taichung, Taiwan. Three events are scheduled – Mini Main Event, Main Event, and a Special Event. The tour sticks around Taiwan for a connecting festival, APT Taiwan 2021 running from February 27 to March 8 at the CTP Club in Taipei. It is a full blown lineup of games.
