On opening day, player dilbaghsingh missed the glory by just one spot at the 5 Card PLO event. He returned to action the next day, entered the DST event, busted out on his first bullet then shipped it on the second. In his final pursuit, dilbaghsingh railed four final table players to seize the ₹ 1.11 lakhs (~US$ 1,500) first prize and his first APT win. The final chase sped off with yesterday’s Kickoff champion Ashish “Notoriouskonvict” Nailwal as frontrunner and looking good to bag his second win. He was trailed closely by dilbaghsingh. After DrunkenGoD eliminated Vikram “Poker_lover” Mishra (8th), dilbaghsingh claimed his first final table stack in pizzakhanahai (7th) then zapdos1234 (6th) fell to Prakash “pinnug” Gupta. Before dilbaghsingh’s next takedown, he banked a monster double up off Notoriouskonvict with A♥ 10♠ over A♠ 7♠ on a board K♣ 2♣ K♥ 3♠ 8♠ to skyrocket to the top. From there, he went on to finish off DrunkenGoD (5th). Next shoves saw pinnug end the seven bulleted Notoriouskonvict (4th) and dilbaghsingh knocked out Priyank “Piko1432” Kothar (3rd) to bring about heads up.
The final duel lasted only 8 minutes and within that time plenty of action took place. Dilbaghsingh won a few opening pots to widen his lead. The first called shove brought about a double up to pinnug who rivered the ace holding A♠ 7♠ against 5♠ 5♦. This switched them up but the rise was short lived. Dilbaghsingh resumed his attacks that ended with a double up holding A♣ Q♥ over Q♠ J♦ on a dry board. With pinnug down to just 5 BB, dilbaghsingh finished him off on a bad beat with A2s spiking a two against A3s.
