APT Noumea 2017 Opens at Casinos de Noumea in New Caledonia

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has marked its return to the beautiful shores of New Caledonia with the opening of APT Noumea 2017! The ten-day event kicked off last night with a grand Welcome Party hosted by the official event partner and venue, Casinos De Noumea.

“We’re happy to be back at one of the most beautiful APT stops this year – APT Noumea 2017 and look forward to bringing that APT flavor of tournament poker to the felts of the Casinos de Noumea,” said APT Executive Tournament Director Lloyd Fontillas.

The opening night’s festivities kicked off with a showcase of local and French inspired performances. As the lights dimmed, dancers in their native costumes made their way to the room to the music from indigenous instruments. This was followed up by French inspired cabaret-themed productions.

After the fanfare, it was time to get down to the action with the APT Noumea Main Event Mega Satellite. At the close of registration, there were 118 entries for 12 seats to the Main Event. Action then continues with the day’s NLH Welcome Event at 1:00 pm followed by a satellite at 7:30 pm.
